PAINTING & GRAPHIC ARTS

"Art is my freedom. Here I have space to think and dream; my inner home."
"Art is my freedom. Here I have space to think and dream; my inner home."
ABOUT

I was born in 1982 in Teterow, Mecklenburg.
I grew up with my grandfather’s art. He was an accomplished painter and great draftsman who also accompanied me in my artistic education and is still a role model for me.
From 2002 to 2008 I studied art at the University of Greifswald at the Caspar David Friedrich Institute. During this time my love for graphic art and painting has developed. I like freedom in pictures that leave room for thinking. I can express myself with watercolor, acrylic and chalk. Usually, graphically created perspectives arise in connection with colored, set surfaces and the process of design remains obvious. If everything is there that I mean, then I’m done. But I’ve always loved being on the go and discovering new things. So the train stations and traveling have repeatedly become topics in my pictures.
Since 2004 I have been able to show my works in numerous solo and group exhibitions and have participated in many artists‘ plenairs in Germany and Poland. The exchange with artists, friends and especially my father, with whom I share a passion for art, gives me creativity, inspiration and challenges me.
